Moving FAQ
As early as possible, especially for moves scheduled between May and August, Florida's busiest moving months, or around the first and last weekends of the month. Two to four weeks' notice is a reasonable target for local moves; long-distance moves benefit from more lead time.
Yes, for full-service and partial packing. If you're booking labor-only service, you'll supply your own boxes and packing materials since that service covers loading and unloading rather than packing.
Licensed movers are required to offer a baseline level of liability coverage, and additional valuation options are often available. Ask us directly what's included with your quote and what add-on coverage looks like for higher-value items
Hazardous materials (propane tanks, gasoline, paint, aerosols, pool chemicals), perishable food, and living plants typically can't go on the truck, especially for moves crossing state lines. We recommend transporting cash, jewelry, and irreplaceable documents yourself.
It's not required, but it's appreciated and customary in the industry — commonly in the range of $20–$40 per mover for a full day, adjusted for the size and difficulty of the job.
Ask us about our severe-weather rescheduling policy when you book, and build a little flexibility into your timeline if you're moving between June and November.
